Two local Red Cross volunteers are on their way to Texas to help with Hurricane Ike relief efforts. Lynn Skyrms and Kel Bartley just returned from Florida's east coast, where they had been assisting victims of Hurricane Fay. They left again this morning in a Red Cross Emergency Response Vehicle to deliver hot meals, water and cleaning supplies to neighborhoods devastated by Ike. ...more
