In response to Judee VanBrookhoven's comment on Highlands Little Theatre as to many vacant seats. I live on the west side of U.S. 27 and do not drive; otherwise I would like to see the performances. There are a lot of us senior citizens here in town, but due to the lack of transportation, we are limited to where we can go. Few of you may be aware of Gov. Crist's support for the Community Care for the Elderly Program and for restoring cuts made to this program. This program provides vital quality cost-efficient services for the elders. We want the ability to remain in our homes as we age. A few timely services provided by the community can prevent or delay much costlier nursing home care. So I, on behalf of all senior citizens or care givers, recognize Governor Crist's withholding his approval and voting against the cuts.
