BUSINESS BRIEFS TAMPA BAY AREA Oxygen Companies Probed An investigation into 10 oxygen providers in Hillsborough and Pinellas counties has raised enough concerns to support further examination by state investigators, Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration said Friday. The preliminary investigation by AHCA and the office of Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum centered on oxygen concentrators, equipment for patients with respiratory illnesses such as emphysema. Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum is committed to helping Martin Lee Anderson's family continue any investigation into the teen's death, according to a statement released by McCollum and family attorney Benjamin Crump today. Anderson, 14, died after being restrained and struck by drill instructors at a Panhandle boot camp while a nurse looked on, occasionally checking his vital signs.
