Plant High School students Josh Munch, Quinn Ebright and Spencer Muratides, with friends Troy Cobb, who attends Seminole High School, and Evan Berggren, who goes to Southeast High School in Manatee County, became the Kick-It 3 V 3 Soccer Under-17 World Champions on the weekend of Jan. 17 to 19. FOREST HILLS - A youth baseball club based in Forest Hills rallied from behind in one game and shut out the favorites in another to become national champions earlier this month. The Tampa Boltz competed against 28 teams in the AAU national baseball tournament for players 9 and under, held at the Disney Wide World of Sports complex. The boys played 13 games in six days, pushing through four games on July 19 to win the championship. ...more
