PLANT CITY - A sale sponsored Saturday by the local American Legion Auxiliary will help support charitable causes.

The sale will be from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Norman McLeod American Legion Post 26, 2207 W. Baker St., next to Tomlin Middle School. Auxiliary President Loretta Womble will be there as early as 5 a.m. for vendors who want to set up early.

The auxiliary holds the sales in the spring and fall to raise money for charity, including projects such as clothing for injured veterans and a Christmas party for Big Brothers Big Sisters.

The sales generally attract 15 to 20 vendors who sell all kinds of merchandise, Womble said.

Plant City Support Our Soldiers will be among the participants. The organization provides supplies from snacks to sunscreen to solders overseas.
For information, call Womble at (813) 928-0241.
