Glorioso to receive Library Champion Award

PLANT CITY - State Rep. Rich Glorioso will be recognized with two awards at the next meeting of the Friends of the Bruton Memorial Library at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Because of his support of Florida's libraries in the last state budget battle, the Plant City Republican will receive a Library Champion Award from the Florida Library Association and an award of recognition from the Florida Library Association. Thanks to Glorioso's efforts, state funding to libraries was continued.

Storyteller Carrie Sue Ayvar will be the featured speaker at Tuesday's meeting.

There is no admission charge and refreshments will be served. The event will be at the library, 302 McLendon St., Plant City.
