Plant City woman helps lead domestic violence awareness month event

Charleene Closshey of Plant City is co-chair for the Peace Couture Saks Fifth Avenue fundraiser, to be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 2 at 235 Westshore Plaza, Tampa. This will benefit The Spring of Tampa Bay and is in conclusion of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, which was October. Admission is $50, or $75 for patron tickets.

Young professional packages are available, four for $100. All purchases from Saks made during the event will receive a 15 percent discount, with 5 percent of all proceeds donated back to The Spring.

Tampa restaurants will provide food and there will be live entertainment, as well as a local celebrity fashion show with models, including Miss Florida Rachael Todd, Wendy Ryan of ABC Action News and Olympic Gold Medalist Brooke Bennett.
