PLANT CITY - Have you always wanted to learn how to make a holiday arrangement for your home, but didn't know where to begin?
Members of the Plant City Garden Clubmight be able to help. They are hosting their annual Fun with Flowers workshop from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 5 at the Lord of Life Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2104 Mud Lake Road.
Jan Sillik, first vice president of the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, will be the instructor. Sillik, who lives in Jacksonville, founded the Fun with Flowers program, local Garden Club member Cassandra Banning said.
"Fun with Flowers is her baby," said Banning, who said the program has been held locally for about three years.
Sillik stays busy and the only way the club managed to get her as the instructor was to book her visit about seven months ago, Banning said.
The $15 fee will include a container, flowers and lunch. Reservations must be made no later than Nov. 30 by sending a check to the Plant City Garden Club, P.O. Box 3471, Plant City, FL 33566.
For information call Banning at (813) 759-1638.
