PLANT CITY - Mardi Gras was the theme for the Plant City Garden Club's annual flower show.
The club has been sponsoring the show for more than 30 years to give members a chance to showcase their talents. Entries in the Feb. 5 show played off the Mardi Gras theme.
Here's a list of the winners:
Wynona James, horticulture excellence award for her jewel orchid and award of merit for her bromeliad
Em Rawlings, award of merit in horticulture
Liz Miller, award of merit in the arboreal class
Jan Griffin, collector's showcase award and award of merit for her cacti
Sandra Lodato, award of merit for her hanging basket
Mikie Snyder, education award for her display on the club's garden of the month program
Liz Miller, floral design award for her petite design titled Beads & Bangles
Jan Griffin, table artistry and designers choice awards
Margaret Rodwell and Tina Mallare-Pike, novice design winners.
