PLANT CITY - Quet Shaw has received one last honor for her exploits as the leader of the Plant City High flag football team, and it's a pretty big honor.
Recently Shaw was named the best quarterback in the state, as the signal-caller on flagmag.com's all-Florida squads were announced in late May.
The only other Tampa Bay area player to make the First Team Offense was Plant High receiver Lauryn Bodden.
Plant City had two other players named all-state. Yasmeen Honors was on the Second Team Defense and Nika Walker, Shaw's top target on offense, was one of the Third Team receivers.
Though the Raiders season ended in disappointment, they again went through the year unbeaten until making the state tourney in Boca Raton.
In three years with Shaw as the quarterback, Plant City ended with an overall record of 38-4. The Raiders reached the state finals in 2008 and last month they advanced back to Boca Raton, where they lost to Tallahassee Leon in the semifinals.
