PLANT CITY - Here are the contestants for 2009 Florida Strawberry Festival queen:
KAITLIN MACKENZIE ALLEN, daughter of Kenneth and Rhonda Allen. She is a junior at Plant City High School. She plans to attend the University of Florida or the University of Central Florida for pre-veterinarian studies. She is active with FFA.
JORDAN ANDREU, daughter of Alan and Kelly Andreu. She is a senior at Durant High School. She plans to pursue a degree in English from the University of Florida and then attend Yale University to prepare for a career in international law. She is a member of the National Honor Society and is president of the Durant Best Buddies.
JESSICA LEIGH ARDREY, daughter of Scott and Angela Ardrey. She is a freshman at Southeastern University pursuing a degree in business. While attending Southeastern, she has become involved with the Leader in Training program.
KIRSTYN MARLETTA BROWARD, daughter of Kevin and Allene Broward. She is a freshman at Hillsborough Community College studying business. She is active in her praise team at church.
MEGAN NICOLE COCHRAN, daughter of Landon Cochran and Kathryn Politte. She is a graduate of Plant City High School. She plans to attend Florida State University and pursue a doctoral degree in research psychology.
CAITLIN REBEKAH CRIBBS, daughter of Tim and Suzanne Cribbs. She is a Durant High School senior. She plans to attend the University of Florida and pursue a degree in elementary education. She is the vice president of the Durant High School FFA and a member of the National Honor Society.
CORTNEY LYNN DAVIS, daughter of Earnie and Becky Davis. She is a graduate of Joe E. Newsome High School and has completed studies at Sanford Brown University. She plans to study nursing at Hillsborough Community College to become a registered nurse.
LAUREN BRIANN DER, daughter of Dennis and Lori Der. A graduate of Plant City High School, she is a freshman at Hillsborough Community College studying animal sciences. She is active with the Cork United Methodist Church Children's Ministry and is a Florida Strawberry Growers Association Youth Ambassador.
CURRIE E. DICKERSON, daughter of Joe and Debra Dickerson. She is a junior at Plant City High School. She plans to attend college to study law. She is active with the FFA and the First Baptist Church of Plant City Youth Department.
JOCLYN BRITTANY EMERSON, daughter of Joseph and Deborah Emerson. She is a graduate of Durant High School and a sophomore at Hillsborough Community College with plans to attend the University of South Florida to study law. She is a coach with the Dover Patriot Cheerleaders.
MORGAN RENAE FEASTER, daughter of Mark and Mendy Feaster. She is a graduate of Plant City High School. She is studying cosmetology and is active with the Junior Woman's Club of Plant City and St. Joseph's Children's Hospital.
SAMANTHA NICOLE FISHER, daughter of Barry and Deborah Fisher. She is a Durant High School junior. She plans to attend the University of Florida to study obstetrics and gynecology. She is active with the marching band and the drama club.
KELLI LEE GRIFFIN, daughter of William and Daisy Griffin. She is a Durant High School graduate and a freshman at the University of South Florida, where she is pursuing a degree in elementary education with a minor in psychology.
AMANDA LYNN HARRELL, daughter of David and Bonny Harrell. She is a graduate of Durant High School and a sophomore at Hillsborough Community College with plans to attend the University of Florida to pursue a degree in horticulture. She is a volunteer with the Florida Strawberry Growers Association and is active with the college and career group at First Baptist Church of Plant City.
REBECCA NICOLE HURLEY, daughter of Mike and Cheryl Hurley. She is a senior at Plant City High School. She plans to attend the University of Central Florida to pursue a degree in broadcast journalism. She is the editor of the school paper and a member of National Honor Society.
AMBER MARIE ITURRIAGA, daughter of Segundo and Sherri Iturriaga. She is a senior at Durant High School. She plans to attend Hillsborough Community College and then the University of South Florida to pursue a degree in elementary education. She is active with FFA.
COURTNEY LYNN KABRICH, daughter of Harry and Rhonda Kabrich. She is a graduate of Durant High School and a freshman at Hillsborough Community College pursuing a degree in nursing. She enjoys playing the piano.
SHAYLA LYRAE KNIGHT, daughter of Kenneth and Pamela Knight. She is a Plant City High School senior and is active with FFA.
KELLEY RENAE LOTT, daughter of Aubrey and Debbie Lott. She is a graduate of Providence Christina and a freshman at Hillsborough Community College pursing a degree in nursing.
ALLISON MORGAN MARTIN, daughter of Jonathan and Susan Martin. She is a graduate of Joe E. Newsome High School. She is a freshman at Hillsborough Community College, where she is pursing a degree in secondary education.
KATI LEEANN MAXWELL, daughter of Scott and Deborah Maxwell. She is a Durant High School graduate and is attending Hillsborough Community College pursing a nursing degree. She is active with the youth group at Welcome Baptist Church.
SARA BETH NEWSOME, daughter of Ray and Jo Beth Newsome. She is a senior at Plant City High School. She plans to attend college to study agriculture communications and elementary education. She is active with FFA and Best Buddies.
SUMMER NORRIS, daughter of Darren and Toni Norris. She is a Plant City High School senior and has a dual enrollment with Hillsborough Community College. She plans to attend the University of Florida to pursue a degree in agriculture. She is active with the FFA and Best Buddies.
BRANDI ALEXANDRA REYERSE, daughter of Donald and Elga Reyerse. She is a graduate of Durant High School and is a freshman at Hillsborough Community College studying psychology and elementary education.
KIRSTEN JAME RITENBAUGH, daughter of Jay and Laurel Ritenbaugh. She is a Plant City High School graduate and is enrolled in Plant City Cosmetology School. She is going to be a hairdresser.
ARIELLE KAYLA ROLLYSON, daughter of Kenneth and Deanna Rollyson. She is a senior at Plant City High School. She plans to attend the University of South Florida and study sports management. She is active with the FFA and Best Buddies.
DANIELLE ST. MARTIN, daughter of Charlie and Kathy St. Martin. She is a Durant High School graduate and a freshman at Hillsborough Community College. She plans to attend the University of Central Florida to pursue a degree in biology. She is active with the FFA and the Plant City Book Club.
ABBY KAYE SHIRLEY, daughter of Rick and Tia Shirley. She is a Durant High School junior. She plans to attend the Paul Mitchell hair school and a local college to pursue a two-year degree in business. She is active with FFA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and student government.
LAUREN DANIELLE SMITH, daughter of John and June Smith. She is a graduate of Plant City High School and a sophomore at Hillsborough Community College. She is pursing a degree in elementary education.
MAHALEY FAYE SMITH, daughter of Clinton and Karen Smith. She is a senior at Durant High School. She plans to attend Hillsborough Community College and then Florida Southern College to pursue a degree in elementary education. She is active with FFA, marching band and Best Buddies.
CARLA ELIZABETH TONIONE, daughter of Robert and Melody Tonione. She is a Durant High School senior. She plans to attend Hillsborough Community College to pursue a degree in nursing. She is active with the Durant High School Leo Club and culinary arts.
MEGAN DANIELLE YOUNG, daughter of Fred and Jeannie Young. A senior at Durant High School, she plans to attend the University of South Florida to study sonography. She is active with FFA and the Girl Scouts.
