Messiah Church Embraces 'Families Of The Fields'

CARROLLWOOD - Messiah Lutheran Church's Migrant Ministries recently hosted a Christmas outreach for 400 "families of the fields."

Fifty volunteers came together at the Planteen Recreation Center in Plant City to provide 1,250 wrapped toys, toiletry boxes, blankets, ethnic food baskets and turkeys.

Santa, Mrs. Claus and the Latin American Motorcycle Organization were present to spread holiday cheer.

Santa met with children, providing candy canes and plush toys.
