PLANT CITY The Florida Strawberry Festival may be all about celebrating the area's most famous crop, but other agricultural products are also featured.
New this year will be a traveling exhibit that encourages consumption of milk.
The Drink Well. Live Well. Wellness Center will be at the festival grounds near the Kiddie Corral from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. March 8.
At the exhibit, visitors can get health assessments from a registered dietitian, sample milk from Velda Farms, receive five-minute chair massages, get souvenir milk mustache photos and enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a personal chef consultation from Real Simple magazine
There's no charge for any of the activities, which are heavily geared for children, festival General Manager Paul Davis said.
The festival is one of 75 destinations, coast to coast, for the exhibit that touts milk
The tour will encourage visitors to, "not only live well, but to drink well with nature's wellness drink – milk," a festival statement said.
