PLANT CITY The Florida Strawberry Festival will offer a free show to replace the canceled March 8 performance of singer and dancer Julianne Hough.
The festival scrambled to find a new act after Hough's show was canceled last week due to scheduling problems. The replacement will include singer and songwriter Trent Tomlinson; a new group, Love and Theft; and Chad Brock and Killer Beaz, from country radio station WQYK 99.5 FM's morning show.
Brock, best known perhaps in this market for his role on the morning show, has also produced seven singles on the Billboard country music charts, including the No. 1 hit "Yes!" and the top 5 "Ordinary Life." . Fairly new to the Tampa Bay morning show scene, Killer Beaz has 27 years in stage, television, radio and touring. He will perform a comedy routine.
General admission seating for the 3 p.m. show is free with paid gate admission.
Hough, a two-time winner of "Dancing with the Stars," canceled her 3:30 p.m. show due to what was termed an "unavoidable scheduling change." The festival is paying refunds for fans who bought reserved seats, $10 and $15, for Hough's show.
For information call the festival at (813) 752-9194 or go to www.flstrawberryfestival.com.
