A last chance today for fun – and free school supplies

PLANT CITY - Children returning to class this week can get entertained and receive free school supplies from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Eastside Baptist Church, 1318 E. Calhoun St.
The church has sponsored its annual Back to School Bash for at least the past 10 years, Eastside Children's Director Sally Mallalieu said.
"It's for the community, to give to the community," she said.
The party will include a free hot dog dinner, magician, moonwalk and games for all ages. Each child will take home a bag of free school supplies.
The back-to-school bash is open to all children, kindergarten through 12th grade. Mallalieu expects at least 100 children to attend. It's open to all, not just members of the church, she said.
