PLANT CITY - More than 70 local businesses are expected to be represented at the annual Plant City Community Expo on April 30 at the John R. Trinkle Community Center.
The free expo is open to the public and will include food samples, door prizes, giveaways as well as the latest in new products, services and information, chamber of commerce officials said.
Doors are open from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Trinkle center, said Marion Smith, president of the Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce.
The center is on the Plant City campus of Hillsborough Community College, 1206 N. Park Road, south of Interstate 4.
"Even with this severe downturn in the market, businesses still have a reason to welcome the public to our annual expo, Smith said.
"This is a good opportunity for the public to say hello to people in the business community. It's also a good way to learn about the businesses and the products they carry."
