Plant City man shoots self while unloading pistol

PLANT CITY - A 42-year-old man accidentally shot himself this morning while trying to unload a pistol, authorities said.
Alvin Lee was taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center with injuries that were not considered life threatening, Plant City police Sgt. David Millich said.
Lee told officers he was trying to unload the gun about 10 a.m. when the gun went off, Millich said. Lee was alone at the time of the shooting at his home at 1402 Nancy Terrace, off Cherry Street.
