Evening Of Entertainment To Raise Money For Cancer Fight

PLANT CITY An evening of live entertainment featuring songs from musicals will highlight Cabaret Night, a Relay for Life fundraiser to be held at 6:30 p.m. April 11 at the Cornerstone Community Center, 315 N. Collins St.

The Plant City Entertainment event will also include a silent auction and chances to win items ranging from original handcrafted jewelry by Kim Mitchell to an original creation by nationally known artist Jules Burt to signed Broadway memorabilia. Plant City Entertainment is a community theater group.

Hors d'oeuvres and dessert are included in the $10 admission price. Tickets will be available at the door, but to RSVP, contact April Smith at (813) 731-0615 or adsactress@yahoo.com.

Profits will benefit the American Cancer Society's Plant City Relay for Life. The relay will be 6 p.m. April 17 to noon April 18 at the football stadium and track at Plant City High School, One Raider Place, off Alexander Street west of James L. Redman Parkway.

During the relay, teams of walkers take turns circling the track to raise money for the fight against cancer.
