PLANT CITY South Florida Baptist Hospital's annual Children's Health Fair will include doses of fun.
Besides health screenings, the hospital will offer a rock climbing wall, moonwalk, and YMCA and karate demonstrations.
The free event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 11 at the Arthur Boring Civic Center at the Florida Strawberry Festival grounds, 2202 W. Reynolds St.
"The Children's Health Fair provides an opportunity for families with children to get a basic health check and provide them with information on resources that are available to them," Heather Coats, South Florida Baptist's community health program coordinator, said in a statement.
The fair has the theme, Exploring the Wonders of Wellness, and will emphasize "the importance of wellness and a healthy lifestyle," she said.
Screenings will include blood pressure, height, weight, and scoliosis and vision,
The Children's Health Fair has been held annually by the hospital since at least 1992.
