Fundraising Barbecue To Help Charity

PLANT CITY Unity in the Community, which helps the needy in the Plant City area, will have a fundraising barbecue Friday at Sweetbay Supermarket, 205 W. Alexander St.

The meal will be served in a red concession trailer in the supermarket's parking lot. Tickets are $10.
The meals include a barbecue half-chicken, baked beans, potato salad or slaw, Cuban bread and a drink. Serving hours are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m.

Advance tickets are for sale at Brown's Jewelry, 1705 James L. Redman Parkway, Sweetbay, Browns Wrecker Service, 206 Waller St., and Creative Flower Designs, 116 W. Alexander St.

During Friday's meal, the charity also will sell advance discount tickets to its annual Halloween haunted house.

All proceeds will benefit Meals on Wheels of Plant City and United Food Bank and Services of Plant City.
