Church Picnic Features Bluegrass Band

PLANT CITY A local favorite, the Southern Star Bluegrass band, will entertain Saturday at a fundraising picnic at First United Methodist Church of Plant City, 303 N. Evers St.
The Plant City-based band, which frequently appears at the Florida Strawberry Festival, will perform after a picnic that includes ribs, fried chicken, pulled pork and all the trimmings. The buffet style meal starts at 6 p.m.
