Coffee Shop Opens Kiosk At Plant City HCC Campus

PLANT CITY For the majority of students and staff at Hillsborough Community College's Plant City campus, wake-up assistance and snacks have usually popped out of a vending machine.

Now, whether teaching or in the classroom, there's access to a good cup of java and something on which to munch away the minutes.

The Espress Yourself Coffee 101 kiosk recently opened at the HCC campus. Since then, students and faculty have been able to grab a fresh cup of their favorite coffee and a snack, without having to go downtown, where the original shop is located.

Jon Davis, who runs the downtown and HCC shops with his wife, Heather, said the kiosk "fills a void" because there is no cafeteria or snack bar on the campus at 1206 N. Park Road. He said so far, business has been steady.

The shop in the administration building is open 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday
