PLANT CITY - The annual 2008 Plant City Community Expo will be bigger and better than ever, chamber President Marion Smith said.

The expo is sponsored by the Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce and Hillsborough Community College. The event is 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday in the Trinkle center at HCC's Plant City campus, 1206 N. Park Road.

During the expo, guests can meet more than 70 local business owners who will display products, services and information, Smith said.

The expo gets bigger and better each year, Smith said, and added that she's looking for a good turnout. Admission is free, and the event is open to the public.

Smith plans to spice up the expo atmosphere with interactive games between vendors and the public.

Visitors can register to win a $200 Visa gift card, she said; the drawing will be at 5:30 p.m.

Restaurants and food vendors will have samples of their products at the expo. Door prizes and giveaways also are planned.
Food vendors include Alligator Bob's Gourmet Alligator, Fred's Market Restaurant and Espress Yourself Coffee 101.

For information, call the chamber at (813) 754-3707 or e-mail Amy Nizamoff, the chamber's administrative coordinator, at amy@plantcity.org.
