Jarrett Scott Ford of Plant City has joined Ford Motor Co. in annual support to the National FFA Foundation, formerly known as the Future Farmers of America.
Jarrett Scott Ford is sponsoring the Built Ford Tough College Scholarship Program for Plant City and Durant high schools, which it has done for two years and is helping two local students attend college.
This scholarship program is equally funded by Ford Motor Co. and Ford dealers and has awarded more than $4 million in scholarships to more than 3,650 FFA members.
Additionally, Ford gives support to national FFA events such as the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis and the FFA Washington Leadership conference in the nation's capitol.
FFA members must take their scholarship applications to Jarrett Scott Ford for the dealer signature and the official dealer code to be included in the scholarship search. The applications are then sent to the National FFA for final judging and selection.
