PLANT CITY - Durant High School's drama department will present the play "Pillow Talk" at 7 p.m. today.
The play, which opened Thursday, is directed by Ed Mason. Tickets are $7 for adults and $6 for students and senior citizens.
Durant's production includes John Carlos as Brad, Ashleigh Powell as Jan, Na'iyma Thompson as Almad, Steven Penaranda as Jonathan Forbes, and Christopher Tousignant as Peroit.
The play is in the Durant High auditorium, 4748 Cougar Path, off Turkey Creek Road south of State Road 60.
Easter Bunny Eager To Hop To Letter-Writing
PLANT CITY - The Plant City Recreation and Parks Department has made arrangements for Peter Cotton Tail to write special letters to Plant City boys and girls this year.

Tomlin Students' Art On Display
PLANT CITY - Tomlin Middle School seventh- and eighth-graders have art on display this month at the Florida Blood Services Center in Plant City.
The following students are participating: Luke Almanzan, Mariela Cortez, Jennifer Milian, Gabriel Morua, Jessica Revels, Kassidy Ryles, Daniela Sanchez, Maria Solis, Kyle Stepp, Tyler Storms and Michael Sykes.
David J. Hubay, Tomlin art specialist, is their teacher.
Babysitting Class Set For Young Teens
PLANT CITY - Children ages 11-13 are invited to take part in a Safe Sitter babysitting class. It will be taught by a certified instructor from South Florida Baptist Hospital.
The session will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 16 at First Baptist Church of Plant City, 503 N. Palmer St. Lunch will be provided.
The class will cover topics such as choking infant and child rescue breathing techniques, success on the job, babysitting as a business, preventing problem behavior, injury management and safety for the sitter. Each student will receive a safe sitter manual. Cost of the class is $50.

Kick Up Your Heels At Valentine's Dance
PLANT CITY - Local entertainment organizer Donna Garzone is sponsoring a Valentine's Day-themed dance from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Feb. 16 at Stardust Dance Center, 1401 S. Collins St., in the Plant City Plaza shopping center.
The dance will include Italian pasta and meatballs, music by Mike and Peg Johnson and entertainment by some of Florida's finest dancers, Garzone said.
You don't have to be single; many married couples attend her monthly dances.
Cost is $10 per person.

Class Of 1975 Plans 51st Birthday Party
PLANT CITY - The Plant City High School Class of 1975 will host a class 51st birthday party Feb. 23. The event will be from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. at the Plant City Elks Club, 1501 N. Alexander St.
Spouses and guests are welcome. The party is planned as a very casual event, including jeans and shorts.

Book Discussion March 4 At Bruton Memorial
PLANT CITY - Up next for discussion at the book sessions at Bruton Memorial Library is "Wide Sargasso Sea" by Jean Rhys. The discussion date is March 4.
Copies of the book are available now at the library, 302 McLendon St. The discussion, which is free, will begin at 11 a.m.

Zephyrhills Pageant Open To Area Girls
Two of the competitions of the 2008 Miss Zephyrhills Scholarship Pageant are open to residents of Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Hernando counties.
Although the Miss Zephyrhills title is only open to residents of Zephyrhills, Miss Friendly City for ages 17 to 24 and Zephyrhills Jaycees Outstanding Teen for ages 13 to 17 are open to young women from those counties.
Applications are being accepted for the event, which will be at 7 p.m. March 15 in the Zephyrhills High School auditorium. Tickets will be available at the door for $10. The deadline to enter is March 1.
Titleholders will participate in the Miss Florida Pageant in June at the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg.

Tour Will Mark D-Day Anniversary
The beaches of the Normandy invasion, London, Bastogne, Brussels, Amsterdam and other European sites will be part of a tour sponsored by the Fraternal Military Association of the U.S.A. The tour will depart from New York on June 17.
Current and past military personnel, their dependents, friends plus the general public are invited to participate to commemorate the 64th anniversary of D-Day.
