PLANT CITY Shoppers at Felton's Meat & Produce Market were treated recently to a little more than good deals on groceries.
They also enjoyed the angelic voice of Edith Langston.
Langston, minister at Plant City's METS Ministries, belted out such holiday classics as "Jingle Bells," "The First Noel," and "Oh Come All Ye Faithful," in the days leading up to Christmas. On Christmas Eve, Faye Brown, with her 3-year-old great-granddaughter Kitty Brown riding in a shopping buggy, stopped to listen.
Brown said she enjoyed the singing by Langston, who is also a member of the GospelMETS trio.
Langston has been singing holiday tunes during the Christmas season at the grocery store at 617 N. Maryland Ave. for about eight years.
She doesn't need a microphone as she can belt out tunes - a cappella - loud enough to be heard several aisles away.
