PLANT CITY - In the third week of play in the Plant City Recreation and Parks Department/Optimist Youth Flag Football program, the Rabbits won the battle of 2-0 teams in the Junior League (6- to 7-year-olds) by topping the Bobcats 21-18.
Dylan Williams scored three touchdowns for the Rabbits, catching passes from Jerry Rich Jr. and Vincent Adkins.
The Wildcats also improved to 3-0 by beating the Turtles 20-7. In another game Sept. 29, the Frogs and Indians tied 6-6 - both teams have two ties in their three games.
In the Elite League (13-15) the Bucs have emerged as the top team. Josh Davis caught two touchdown passes from Tyler Davis and the Bucs rolled over the Patriots 32-14. The Bucs have a cushion in the standings at 3-0, with the Patriots, Rams and Colts at 1-2. Ronald Holley had two interception returns to help the Rams to their first win, a 28-6 victory over the Colts.
